Inspiration

Passengers sailing aboard Carnival Cruises' Art Deco-themed Inspiration should be prepared to be inspired by the number and scope of shipboard amenities.
The formal Mardi Gras and Carnivale dining rooms offer gourmet fare, spa cuisine, and meals with children's tastes in mind. For a more laid-back alternative, the Lido Deck's Brasserie Bar and Grille serves up a more casual atmosphere, as well as delicious Italian specialties for breakfast and lunch, and pizza 24 hours a day.

Inspiration hot spots include the Rock and Roll Dance Club, Monte Carlo Casino, and the Paris Lounge, a two-story theater that hosts lavish shows and musical acts. George Gershwin might feel right at home in Rhapsody in Blue, the ship's elegant piano bar.

Other facilities include a health and fitness area (featuring saunas, hot tubs, and a steam room), three swimming pools (including one with a 14-foot-high water slide), and the Bard-themed Shakespeare Library. Young people can participate in the supervised Camp Carnival program, where they can hang out in the wading pool, computer lab, two playgrounds, and arts-and-crafts center with cruisers their own age.
